I COMPLETELY AGREE! Why Can't My iPhone Play Flash Video? Arrgghh! iPad Study: The More You Know, The Less You Want One

Let me get this straight!   We pay $199+ for the device and over $100/month to use them....the iPhone that is.

I'm at lunch checking my iPhone email and there's an interesting new video study I want to check out.  NOT!

Not because my iPhone doesn't play flash video, THE STANDARD for online video.  Why in 2010 is this the case?   THIS IS STUPID!   So, I have to wait til I get back to the office or home to check my email from a real computer that plays flash video.   Yes, the iPhone will play YouTube videos with their YouTube app, but that's not really helpful to me 75% of the time when video is involved.

So, now Apple comes out with the "iPad", which is just a larger iPhone, and Guess What?   It can't play video from a website either!  This was made obvious during Steve Jobs demo of the device

So, why buy one?

That's the question "PC World" Magazine is asking here: http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/188745/ipad_study_the...

I have an ipod Touch because I can't get an iphone here, and I too wish it played flash apps. But the main reason I bought it was to run alamode's Davinci for iphone and it's awesome. That alone is reason enough for me to buy one. I think the flash issue is an ongoing fued between Apple and Adobe. The Droid will be able to use Flash by this spring, or so I'm told, and alamode is working on a Davinci app for the Droid.

Thank You, Thomas! I told Apple if they can't get over the flash issue that I'd be opting for another device in early 2011, when my contract is up.

I heard that the Davinci app is going to get tweaked up some to take better advantage of the the IPad when it comes out. I think Alamode has to wait until the IPad comes out before they redesign the app so we can take full advantage of the new hardware. I can't wait. Just to think, we were still using film cameras a few years ago. Technology has definately made the life of the appraiser easier.
